PROJECT MANAGER or ENGINEER – CONSTRUCTION
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Construction Project Manager or Project Engineer with experience in industrial or multi-level commercial construction. Ideal candidate(s) will have a good understanding of building practices and facility infrastructure, including MEP systems, HVAC, structural components, concrete, and roofing. This is a long-term assignment, 24 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Senior Construction Project Manager, field team, and site suppliers.
- Oversee selected aspects of large-scale construction projects to ensure alignment with design requirements, budget constraints, and schedule milestones.
- Provide a wide range of field engineering support, including participating in MEP design reviews (HVAC, power distribution, lighting, water supply, sanitation, etc.) and coordinating complex system installations with a focus on efficiency and safety.
- Manage project activities, timelines, and schedules to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
- Provide technical feedback on project progress, work quality, drawings, and documentation.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and other key partners to support ongoing and future construction activities.
- Monitor and control on-site construction operations to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of project management experience in Large Industrial or Commercial construction projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel within Michigan.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; experience with MS Project is a strong plus
